Independence City Council Adds Two

The city of Independence has two new council members today. Cleo Skroch

and Tim Hanson were appointed to fill vacant seats on the Independence council last night.  Two recent resignations and a death had left the council in that Trempealeau County town without enough members to hold a meeting.  One council seat remains empty, so the city is still asking for someone who’d like to serve on the council until the April election…and maybe longer, because no candidates filed for that seat on the spring ballot.
