Winter Rec Fest Medallion Uncovered

Last year, the hunt went on for nine days. But this year’s Winter Rec Fest

medallion search is now over after seven days.  The medallion was hidden downtown, close to the Mississippi.  In fact, it was under the steps at the flood gauge on the south end of Riverside Park.  Rick Gardner found the prize on Tuesday.  Each clue contained a reference to an entertainer who has performed at Riverfest or the La Crosse Center.  For example, a clue about ‘Peyton’ was meant to suggest Peyton Manning with the Denver Broncos…a clue to John Denver, who played at the civic center.
