La Crosse Voted Very Relaxing
You can’t spell ‘relax’ without ‘L-A-X’. A real estate company set out to
find the most relaxed cities in the U-S, with a population around 50-thousand. La Crosse finished high on the list, at number 8. Not as high as Dubuque, but well above towns such as Battle Creek, Kokomo, and Minnetonka. Vicki Markussen from the La Crosse Chamber of Commerce says ‘relaxation’ is an unusual factor to use for judging a community:
La Crosse’s top scores came in low commuting time and the low number of hours worked. The worst score was on the number of parks available per person.
