Medal Winner Has Won Before

Having mild January weather didn’t hurt, but figuring out clues was the

secret to finding the 2015 Winter Rec Fest medallion in La Crosse. Rick Gardner discovered the medal in Riverside Park on Tuesday, and claimed his cash prize at the State Bank yesterday.  Gardner also got the Rec Fest medallion five years ago, and he says a successful medallion hunter in La Crosse needs to know about the area’s history, to make sense of the clues:

Gardner spotted the prize after seven clues had been revealed.  Last year, it took nine clues before the medallion was uncovered.
