Tourism Conference Coming To La Crosse
Now that La Crosse has been named one of the 10 most relaxed small cities in
America, tourism workers from around Wisconsin may be curious to see what makes us so easy-going.
They’ll get a chance to check out the city in March, when the Governor’s Conference on Tourism returns to the La Crosse Center. The director of the local convention bureau, Dave Clements, is happy to have hundreds of fellow tourism professionals see what La Crosse is like…so they may have the urge to come back:
The Governor’s Conference was held at the La Crosse Center six years ago, in 2009. At that event, then-Governor Jim Doyle unveiled a state tourism slogan ‘Live Like You Mean It,’ which was criticized as unoriginal and scrapped a few months later.
