Iowa Murder Suspect Faces Wisconsin Sentencing
The Dubuque man who killed a taxi driver and brought the man’s taxi to La
Crosse will be sentenced for murder this week in Grant County…
But Timmy Johnson still has unfinished court business in La Crosse County. Johnson is scheduled to be tried here for car theft and reckless endangerment in March. This Thursday, he will be sentenced in Lancaster for the attack on cab driver Merle Forbes in the Platteville area last June. Johnson was arrested after a police chase and a crash near Holmen, and Forbes’s body was in the taxi’s trunk.
