A $1 billion Minnesota surplus may be going to students from kindergarten to
college. That in Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton’s budget speech from earlier this week.
Dayton is making children a top priority in this year’s budget, spending more on early childhood education, K-12 school and higher education. His $42 billion budget increases funding for education, human services and other areas. Not a sure thing though as both parties must agree to these proposals first.
