County Drug Drop Boxes About To End

Those Saturday drug collection drives by the La Crosse County solid waste

department are about to end. February 21st probably will be the last drug disposal event sponsored by the solid waste office.  The main reason…local cops and hospitals have set up their own drop boxes within the last year:

Hazardous waste specialist Randy Nederlo says a lack of funding to continue the county program was also a factor.  The drug collection on the 21st takes place at the household hazardous waste site on Highway 16, from 9 a-m to noon.
