Voter ID Issue Heats Up Again
One Wisconsin Institute has filed a brief with the U.S. Supreme Court as they
deliberate on an appeal on the constitutionality of a photo ID requirement for voting in Wisconsin. Executive Director, Scott Ross says the issue falls back on Governor Scott Walker and his legislative cronies.
Ross says the brief filed this week exposes how the severe lack of access to Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicle offices is a significant barrier to ballot access. An appeals court upheld the Wisconsin law after a lower court had blocked it.
