Winona Fire Probe Continues

Experts in Winona are still working to pinpoint the cause of last week’s fire

at a downtown tavern, with help from the state fire marshal office. According to early reports, the damage to apartments above the Mason Jar bar was more severe than damage within the bar itself.  The building on East 3rd Street was declared a total loss, following the fire last Friday morning.  Two other fires have caused major damage to downtown Winona buildings since the fall of 2013.
