Guy on Meth Falsely Reports Shooting From Store Bathroom

All kinds of scary can happen when you’re shooting up some methamphetamine.  Certainly was that way for a guy early this morning at a convenience store on West Avenue in La Crosse.  Guy called 911 from there at about 4:30 this morning, reported a shooting in the store and saying that he, too, had been shot.  9 city cops showed up on the scene, along with sheriff’s deputies.  They didn’t find any evidence of a shooting. They did find the caller in a bathroom, strung out on meth.  They took the 23 year-old La Crosse guy first to the hospital and then to jail.
