Final Votes Coming For City/ County

Could be a final agreement after today on a plan for the city of La Crosse

to partner with the county on a development deal for the downtown.  The city council meets to consider the agreement that would have the city financing parking for the Lot C development downtown in exchange for the county guaranteeing $33 million of property value there within 5 years.  There could be hitch in the plan, however, as the county appears reluctant to make those guarantees and that seems to be key sticking point for the city.
