Sparta Student Texts Armed Men In High School

A huge and scary false alarm at the Sparta High School this morning.

Cops say shortly before 10, a student, as a joke, texted a family member stating there were people armed with guns holding students hostage in the cafeteria and emptying out the cash register. The family member then called 911. Sparta Police Officers responded……made entry to the school…and determined that everything was ok, and that it was a false report. No word on any arrests yet.
