Mental Illness Awareness Campaign

A nationwide campaign to raise awareness of mental illness will stage its

first community event in the U-S later this month in La Crosse. A March 23rd program at the Weber Center will promote the Campaign to Change Direction.  One goal of the project is to educate Americans about warning signs that can indicate emotional suffering in other people:

Teresa Pulvermacher with Riverside Corporate Wellness was in Washington yesterday for the national kickoff of the Change Direction program.  The Weber Center event will feature Barbara Van Dahlen, the founder of ‘Give an Hour,’ a group that provides mental health services to the military.
