Sheriff Reacts To Waiting Period

Just a handful of states have a waiting period in place for gun
purchases.  Wisconsin may soon not be one of them.   Lawmakers in Madison are considering a bill that would remove the 48-hour waiting requirement before buying a handgun.  Rifles and shotguns are not under the same restriction currently.  Which gives La Crosse sheriff Steve Helgeson a pretty good idea of what to expect if the gun bill in Madison becomes law

Governor Walker has indicated that he supports getting rid of the 48 hour rule.  It’s been a part of Wisconsin law for about 40 years.
