Murder Guily Plea Take Back Denied
He wasn’t the gunman in a La Crosse murder, but he’s still serving
a long prison term for the crime. Pao Choua Vue’s attempt to take back his guilty plea has been turned down by a county judge. Vue was sentenced to 35 years in prison as an accessory to the shooting of Sara Hougom during a burglary in 2012. Vue testified late last year that he only drove the gunman, his nephew, to and from Hougom’s building:
Pao Vue also had argued that his attorney gave him bad advice to take a plea agreement instead of going to trial.
