Police Id Body Found In River

An update now on the man’s body found floating in the Mississippi River this morning. La Crosse Police have identified the body as that of an Onalaska man missing since last November.

The body of 27 year old Joshua Xiong was found after an employee of LHI called police this morning around 8 to report a body in the river near the River Side Center downtown.

Xiong went missing in early November while fishing near the Dresbach Lock and Dam. Weather conditions hampered the search, which was called off in January. An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday.
