Sex Offender Released

The latest sex offender released to La Crosse’s northside is a child predator.  Police say 33 year-old John Bjerkaas will be moving in to Attic Correctional on the northside today.  He was convicted of second degree sexual assault of a child three years ago.  A first degree sexual assault was dismissed as part of his plea.  Not in trouble now, police say, but Bjerkaas is not to have any contact with children and has to obey other registered sex offender rules.
