V.A. Director Out
He was said to have not been truthful in the early reports and investigations
of over medications and patients deaths at the Tomah VA. Now, as Dan Deicher reports, the head man at the Tomah VA….is out.
The Tomah Veteran Affairs Medical Center released a statement Saturday that Director Mario DeSanctis has been temporarily reassigned. As the investigations began at Tomah, DeSanctis said he was concerned and was taking the allegations very seriously. He said he was standing by his chief of staff Dr. David Houlihan who was at the center of the allegations. He has since been removed. Now, DeSanctis has been removed to a facility in Illinois. John Rohrer, the current Associate Director at the Madison VA, will take over DeSanctis’ duties. Congressman Ron Kind said over the weekend he agrees with the removal of DeSanctis.
