Lemonade Stands To Get The ‘Squeeze’?

Should be business as usual for summer lemonade stands in La Crosse.

Although those signature childhood explorations into the free market seem a little less childlike now that city hall is on the verge of regulating them for the first time.  A city council committee votes next week on an ordinance that allows the stands.  Simple ordinance housekeeping, says city council James Cherf.  Although it’s not clear how much it’s needed

At this point, there is no permit required for the stands and no other significant city regulation.  However, there is language in the proposed ordinance that suggests the county health department may have to get involved.
