Lemonade Stand Rules Tweeked
Can your kid sell lemonade at her stand in La Crosse this summer?
Without question, we’re told. But the new rule that city council members will vote on this week that deals with lemonade stands run by children has been changed after we raised questions about language in the ordinance that seemed to indicate the city might require a license. Now the stand operator simply has to notify the La Crosse health department, says city clerk Teri Lehrke
Lehrke says it was never the intent of the ordinance to require permits for childhood stands operated on private property.
