Should be an interesting next few years for residents in the Town of
Holland. Town Clerk, Marilyn Padretti says she doesn’t expect a whole lot of new people moving there any time soon since the the Badger Coulee line project was approved last week. She says it’s like the town is getting a double whammy.
The utilities contend the $580 million line will result in lower energy costs for utility customers over time and a more efficient transfer of power between Minnesota and Wisconsin, as well as enhanced ability to import electricity from wind farms built to the west of Wisconsin.
