Judge Race Heats Up
Depending on how a judge’s race in La Crosse turns out next week, there could be some changes soon in local law enforcement.
Candidate Brian Barton told reporters yesterday that he favors changes which would increase public safety in the county. Brian says opponent Gloria Doyle seems to think the local court system doesn’t need changing. Doyle’s response:
Doyle has been family court commissioner for nearly 10 years. Barton worked for the county for many years as an assistant D-A. The winner of Tuesday’s election would serve as judge for six years.
