Diabetes Touches Attorney Smith
Area families dealing with diabetes have an event coming up in La Crosse, to give them more information about handling the illness. Mayo Franciscan will host a program on Sunday, April 12th about ‘Living with Type 1.’ That’s also known as juvenile diabetes, says La Crosse attorney Brent Smith. He has a daughter who was diagnosed with Type 1 when she was 12. It’s harder to treat than the adult variety, called Type 2:
The Mayo event will include an appearance by competitive bicyclist Branden Russell, who has had type 1 diabetes since the age of 17.
