Over the last month, visitors to lacrosse area day.com have had the opportunity to vote for one of ten local charitable organizations competing for the honor of throwing out the first pitch at the 18th Annual La Crosse Area Day at Miller Park. With each dollar donated counting as one vote for the recipient, voters donated over $14 thousands to participating organizations.

The La Crosse Community Theatre came out on top of the voting, receiving $7185 in donations. They will now choose a representative to throw out the first pitch on June 25th as the Brewers take on the New York Mets. Each of the ten charitable organizations is entitled to keep all funds raised in voting, and will be awarded a check at the La Crosse Area Day Media Conference April 15th at Copeland Park’s Lumberyard.

La Crosse Area Day will host an online ticket flash sale. For every ticket purchased from April 6th to April 13th, La Crosse Area Day will donate $5.00 to one of the ten competing charitable organizations of the purchaser’s choosing.
