Awfully Bare Where Ash Trees Were
Hundreds and hundreds of ash trees have already been hacked down in La Crosse, but some neighborhood groups apparently believe that it’s better late than never to try to save a few of them. Livable Neighborhoods and Coulee Partners for Sustainability plan to raise money to for tackle the increasingly barren landscape in the wake of the city’s clear-cutting ash practices. The groups say the money they raise will pay for treating trees or re-planting new trees.
