Lot C Parking Headaches

First, they close a big parking lot…then, part of a busy street gets shut down.  That’s part of the process for developing Lot C between 3rd and 4th Streets in La Crosse.  The developers and construction company have asked City Hall to prohibit curbside parking next to the block, and to shut down the block of Vine Street separating Lot C from the Law Enforcement Center.  Won’t that inconvenience sheriff’s officers in squad cars?  Not really, says Jim Speropulos in the county facilities office:

The closure of Vine may last up to a year-and-a-half during the project.
