City Council Pay Hikes Approved
Those arguing against a pay raise on the La Crosse city council found themselves suddenly switching sides during a Thursday night meeting. Council president Dick Swantz is reminded that not everyone can afford to invest large amounts of time for just a couple hundred dollars a month in pay
Starting with council members elected in 2017, pay will go up from 200 to 500 dollars per month. First pay hike for the city council since 1979.
