Recount Should Be Coming in Black River Falls

At this point, the Black River Falls Police Department will not be disbanding and handing over their reigns to the Jackson County Sheriffs Department. After a Tuesday referendum that ended with no votes winning by 2…….an official canvas of the votes confirmed that today.

We asked City Administrator, Brad Chown if there’s a recount coming?

If the referendum would have failed, the city says they would have most likely have chosen to contract with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, which could save the city about $145 thousand. Chown says a recount should be done by Friday.
