County Board To Study Claim

The La Crosse County Board could vote next week to reject a damage claim, from the widow of the La Crescent man killed in an I-90 crash last year.  Felicia Songer is seeking 50-thousand dollars, claiming that negligent highway design and maintenance were partly to blame for the accident in which her husband ied.  A truck driver rear-ended Jason Songer’s car, and both vehicles caught on fire.  County corporation counsel Dave Lange says La Crosse County was not responsible for the highway repair project.
