Vacant Positions At UW-L On Chopping Block

We’ve heard how much money UW-L is set to lose out on if Governor Walkers budget cuts to the UW System stand. About $ 8 million. Now, we are hearing about job losses on campus and that number is around 45. Chancellor Joe Gow talked with us about that hit.

The positions, most of which are currently vacant, would not include educators. The Wisconsin Joint Finance Committee will review Walker’s proposal in the next few weeks and word is that the $300 million cut to the system may not be as large as some think.
