Grandad Bluff Fall

A bluff rescue by the La Crosse Fire Department Sunday night. Just before 8, the department had to respond to a call for a someone with injuries who had fallen from Grandad Bluff. They weren’t sure where they were going at first. Luckily someone with the person who fell was there to direct them to the spot. They did some first aid on the scene and then the department’s technical rescue team members set up a slope evacuation rope rescue system to bring the patient up the bluff to the trail head on Grandad Bluff Road. Took about an hour from start to finish. No word on the victim’s condition at this point.
