Teen Center Groundbreaking
By the end of the summer, teenagers in La Crosse will have a new place to spend time after school…next door to a teen center where they go now. The YMCA’s new Community Teen Center is already being built at 11th and King Streets, and some of the regular visitors to the center got in on a ground-breaking ceremony yesterday. Sarah Johnson, a therapist from Gundersen, says it’s good for teenagers to have a center where they can find ways to develop themselves:
The new building will allow the Y to expand its programs, and to offer more space for the hundreds of students who come to the teen center.
