Campus Rape Trial Moved

Published

A U-W-L student arrested last fall for an alleged sexual assault in a dorm may have to wait until the end of summer to go on trial in La Crosse.  Samuel Temple’s trial was supposed to happen in May, but it’s being postponed until August so the prosecution can do more preparation.  Temple has admitted to kissing his accuser, but denies that he assaulted the female student in a residence hall stairwell last September.  Judge Candice Tlustosch is presiding in Temple’s case now, but because her term expires this summer, the trial could be one of the first heard by newly elected judge Gloria Doyle.
