Minnesota House Approves Bird Flu Cash. Senate Discusses Today
As approved by the Minnesota House Wednesday night, an emergency avian bird flu bill would allocate about $900 thousand to help pay for the costs associated with the investigation, diagnosis, and actions taken by the Department of Agriculture and the Board of Animal Health. State Representative Tim Miller says this is much needed money.
The Senate will take up the same conference committee report today. The lethal bird flu has affected more than 2 million turkeys and hens.
