Blackman Gets Fed Time

Although Walter Blackman is getting 15 years in the federal pen after running a massive drug operation in the midwest, that’s just the surface of his criminal enterprise.  That’s what the feds say after the sentencing this week of the 52 year Blackman, arrested in a big sting in La Crosse two years ago.  They say Blackman, a major figure of the Black Disciples out of Chicago had, at one point, five hundred subordinate gang members working for him.  And the thousands of grams of crack and coke and heroin dealing that he got sentenced for was just part of his massive criminal enterprise.  Blackman pleaded guilty to drug dealing charges last August in federal court.  Federal agents coordinated with La Crosse police during Blackman’s arrest on the southside back in April of 2013.
