More Amtrak Coming To La Crosse?

Will the La Crosse area eventually get more Amtrak service?  There may

soon be a recommendation on expanded passenger rail service through the area, according to a staffer with Minn-DOT.  Amtrak began a study three years ago into whether there’s enough demand for a second train to stop in La Crosse each day.  A new train would follow the same route as the existing Empire Builder that now makes daily stops in La Crosse.  The feasibility study was financed by La Crosse County and the states of Wisconsin and Minnesota.
