There might be a hold on La Crosse city hall agreeing to proposed developments in the town of Shelby. La Crosse can have some say on some development outside of its boundaries and is doing so with mayor Tim Kabat now saying he wants, among other things, a revenue sharing plan in place with Shelby before the city council considers the plans. Kabat maintaints that there needs to be more costs shared for the Shelby residents who use city services like parks and libraries. Town chair Tim Candahl tells us he’s open to those discussions
Candahl says all of the governments should sit down together and work on a deal to share the burden of services.
