Smarter Then A 5th Grader Brings In The Cash

A yearly quiz contest benefitting the Coulee Region R-S-V-P has set another fund-raising record.  The seventh annual ‘Who Will Be Smarter Than a 5th Grader’ raised 83-thousand dollars for the local senior volunteer program.  Donors backed 16 teams of local celebrities paired up with 5th graders from area schools.  The team which collected the most donations was Dr. Jennifer Kirsch from Gundersen and student Therin Smith from the SOTA 1 school.  They also won the final round of questions to take the championship on Saturday at Valley View Mall.
