Cash Doled Out From Bike Race

When thousands of athletes came to La Crosse to run or bike in the half-marathon festival this month, they were raising money for some local service agencies.  On Wednesday at Myrick Park, three groups collected their money.  A total of 40-thousand dollars was awarded to the St. Clare Health Mission, Special Recreation of La Crosse, and the Youth Enrichment Association.  The city park and rec department also recognized businesses and other groups which stood out as volunteers, or provided competitors for the races.
