Click It Or Pay For It

The first major traffic safety effort of the summer in Wisconsin starts next week.  Law officers from around the state will aim to enforce seat belt laws for a couple of weeks surrounding Memorial Day, during the ‘Click It or Ticket’ campaign.  Lieutenant Pat Hogan of the La Crosse Police Department says Wisconsin still has some catching up to do in seat belt compliance:

Wisconsin had more than 50-thousand convictions for seat belt violations last year.
