He was back home in Minnesota and doing what he usually does there … winning. Winona native Garrett Heath won a USA Track and Field 1-mile Road Championship race in Minneapolis on Thursday night. The eight-time state-title winner for Winona Senior High School won in 4 minutes, 8-point-3 seconds and is seeking his second national title in three seasons in the running series. Heath was a nine-time All-American out of Stanford and partipated in the 1,500-meter dash at the 2012 Olympic Trials. The 29-year-old currently lives in Seattle, Washington.
