Could be a new surprise coming out of a new state budget. Another statewide
school exam. The proposed state budget calls for a new exam of some type to replace the online Badger Exam, which debuted this spring. And a third test in less then two years can get a bit frustrating to the La Crosse School District’s, Chris Mueller who deals with all of these tests.
The Badger Exam replaced the long running Wisconsin Concepts and Knowledge test this spring. And for the first time, significant numbers of parents chose not to let their kids take it. The proposed state budget does not specifically spell out what a new exam should or should not include.
