Name Released From Logging Accident

The Monroe County Sheriff has released the name of the person who was involved in a fatal logging accident on Friday.

A 911 call sent rescue personnel to the Town of Leon Friday afternoon and on scene they found that 38 year old Clifford Travis of rural Sparta was involved. Travis had been run over by a piece of logging equipment after he fell of that machinery.

The matter is still under investigation.
