Change at the Top for Maligned Parking Board
The committee that looks after La Crosse’s city-run parking lots and ramps is looking for some guidance. The Parking Utility Board could consult with experts in the parking business to see if there’s a better way to run the ramps. City Council president Dick Swantz has volunteered to chair the parking board for the next year, saying that the committee’s goals are not well-defined:
Former parking chair Audrey Kader has been reassigned to a different council committee. Swantz identified major issues such as budgeting and staffing as concerns that the parking board needs to settle.
