Kabat Considering Multiple Parking Options

Mayor Tim Kabat’s not playing around with parking in La Crosse. The mayor has frequently expressed frustration with complications associated with operation of the city’s parking ramps. A change in leadership on the city’s parking utilty board appears to have stemmed from that frustration. As has the mayor’s latest plan to hire someone to manage the city’s entire parking system. And more might be coming.  Kabat says, at some point, he might consider privatizing management of the city’s parking ramps.

 

 

 

Kabat says, pending on the condition of the city’s operating budget, a new parking utility manager for the city could be coming next year.
