New Library Next After Holmen Ribbon Cutting
A few years ago, the Holmen village board decided to put up a new police station and library in separate buildings, at opposite ends of the same block. Village leaders had a ribbon cutting for the police headquarters on Saturday…and they hope to open the new library in 2016 or ’17. The village president, Nancy Proctor, promises that the new 16-thousand square foot building will be more than just a library and will a community center to encourage more use by the public. The building also will be the home office for the La Crosse County library system.
