Bike Trail’s 50th Celebrated

One of the most popular biking trails in the country turns 50 tomorrow and bike riders from across the country plan on attending the celebration. Being held at the Kendall Depot, home of the Elroy-Sparta Bike Trail, Friends of the Elroy-Sparta Bike Trail President Dave Heilman says former governor Tommy Thompson will also be on hand. 

 

 

 

Other speakers include Department of Tourism Secretary Stephanie Klett and Kurt Thiede from the Department of Natural Resources. There are other events taking place in the communities along the trail tomorrow morning. Food and refreshments will be available on the grounds at the Elroy-Sparta Bike Trail Headquarters in Kendall all afternoon.
