Campbell Chief Selection Could Come Tonight
Campbell’s town board could vote tonight to end a year-long drought without a full-time police chief on duty. It was a year ago this week that former chief Tim Kelemen was placed on leave for using the internet to harass a critic of the town government. Kelemen was off the job for five months before leaving his post in November. This evening, the board will interview a second candidate for chief, Brian Puent (pent). Drew Gavrilos met with the board last week, but supervisors also wanted to hear from Puent before making a final decision.
