Council Vote Tonight on Rose Street Considered Critical

A stubborn city hall may mean no money at all. That’s the concern of North La Crosse Business Association president Nick Roush, worried that, by La Crosse city hall playing hardball with the DOT on plans for reconstruction of Rose street, the city may lose all state funding for beautification of the area

Many in city hall want to make 11th hour changes to DOT plans for Rose, saying those plans don’t match up with the city’s long term transportation vision for La Crosse. The city council votes on the DOT agreement tonight.
